Mexico’s oil levels in decline

Mexico's proven oil reserves have fallen for the sixth straight year in 2007.

Mexico's 2007 gas reserves dropped to 14.7 billion barrels from 15.5 billion a year earlier.

State energy monopoly, Pemex, has put now pressure on the government to shore up the deflating industry.

1. Why expect Mexico to thrive economically outside the effects of oil? Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, et al
have not!

The basis for growth of a modern industrial country is its people with their ability and desire to work and entrepreneurs with dreams willing to start new businesses.

Look at Japan with shortages of all resources as one example.
