5. Both
My choir sang at both last night's Easter Vigil and first Eucharist of Easter as well as at the 11:00 service this morning.

The services were quite different, so no, it wasn't boring.

6. This was the first time I haven't gone to the vigil in a few years
Always a wonderful experience but so long, ours is usually about 3 hours.

7. We don't go during the year
so it seems hypocritical to attend just on Easter. Instead, we went and had a fabulous buffet brunch with my daughter and husband and their bandmates, and my other daughter and her boyfriend. at Alyeska ski resort. A lovely time was had by all, and I doubt if Jesus is mad at me.

8. I slept till 10:30 a.m.!
I haven't been to church since around Christmas, when I went with my mom at her request. Before that it had been YEARS, excepting funerals. I did kind of want to attend an Easter service, but the only churches around here are either of the fundamentalist stripe or Catholic. I always wanted to attend a Catholic service, but I wouldn't know what to do or how to act. :)

I'm an agnostic-leaning-atheist, BTW, but I still appreciate a lot of things about religion(s) and spirituality.

9. Mass is pretty easy, you can just follow what everyone else does.
Our priest always includes a line in the welcome for "those who are not of faith but are here to join us in a celebration of humanity."

14. How about this option:
We go regularly, but skipped today to do family things.

I know that's not the "normal" pattern - but it is our typical one. We regularly go to meeting for worship on Sundays, but skip it as often as not on the days the once or twice a year faithful are likely to go.
