Is Lou Dobbs a racist?
He is really coming across as a racist hiding behind not being a racist to me.

1. Is the sky blue?
If it's not blue where you are, you can contact Lou Dobbs for an explanation of how illegal immigrants are somehow responsible for ruining the color of America's skies.

29. Fear and suspicion of globalization is warranted.
Edited on Mon Mar-24-08 12:21 PM by ryanmuegge
He's courageous because of the way he covers economic issues, which is radically different from anybody else I can think of in the mainstream media.

Focusing on issues of race and gender is so 1990s. There are bigger problems now. Much bigger problems. While I can't peek inside the guy's mind to tell whether he really is a racist against illegal Hispanic immigrants, I respect him a lot for the way he covers economic issues.

15. Before Olbermann, he was one of the few people on Cable news who
would call out and criticize Bush.

Still I agree he seems a bit racist.

I think he should focus more on the reasons why so many immigrants came here.

Minnesota companies advertised for labor in Mexican newspapers, for example, 4 years ago, it was in the news here.

We can't ignore businesses who take advantage of people for cheap labor.

19. To call someone racist when they aren't is to lessen the impact of the word
Dobbs is likely not a racist. I think his views on immigration are awful, deplorable, xenophobic, despicable ...... but not racist.

22. I have mixed feelings about Lou Dobbs.
He is obsessed with illegal immigration, which gets tiresome. I don't think most Americans are as disproportionately upset about illegal immigration as Dobbs is. But sometimes he has good points on other issues.

But the last time I saw him, he was complaining about Obama and his pastor, sounding just like everyone on FAUX.

He and reporter Casey Wian had the audacity to report on Reconquista a few years ago, including a map on how us Latinos were going to retake the Southwest United States from Mexico.

Fuck Lou Dobbs.
