This just in - CHARLIE BROWN WINS!!!
5000.00 from VoteVets.org!!!

A great big thank you to everyone that voted to help put Charlie Brown over the top with VoteVets.org. They have awarded Charlie Brown the full 5,000.00, because of people just like you!
That's right, of all of the candidates, Charlie got the most votes. I'd say this is a great omen for November.

I recieved this from Jon Soltz Chairman, VoteVets.org, just this morning.
I'm writing to let you know about the final result of our veteran candidate run-off and update you on some incredibly exciting races going on, with our endorsed candidates.
First, Charlie Brown, who is running to fill the open seat in Congress now held by Rep. John Doolittle (CA-4), will be receiving a $5000 check from VoteVets.org PAC, for winning the internet run-off this past week. Brown, along with six other veterans, were endorsed by VoteVets.org PAC last week. While each of the candidates was promised $1000 from us, you voted to give the maximum allowable $5000 contribution to Charlie's campaign.

Charlie Brown demonstrated two things this week. First, like each of the incredible candidates we have endorsed, he has strong grassroots support, which makes him a very formidable candidate in this election. And, that there is a real thirst for the voice of the veteran to go to Congress and set this nation on a more responsible course, when it comes to Iraq, the war on terror, and veterans' care.

Thank you to everyone that voted! And remember, live blog with Charlie Brown today at 5pm (pst).

4. Fantastic! I did not know this!
Thank you for posting Rocky!!!! I just got a mailer from Todd about all of the press Charlie has been getting on his charity for vets. If you don't already know, the Brown campaign donates 5% of their campaign donations to charities supporting returning veterans and their families. They decide on which charities by public vote and the info is posted on his website. He is the ONLY candidate doing this despite his challenge to other candidates. He will make a wonderful Congressman and we are fighting tooth and nail to get him elected.
