re: McCain's assertion that Gen. Petraeus and Osama Bin Laden
agree that Iraq is the central battle field in the war on terror.

Well of COURSE Bin Laden will say that. He doesn't want us tracking him into Pakistan/Afghanistan.

1. The problem is...
...it is a central front in the WOT now but it need not have been, need not continue to be, and is not to our advantage that it continue being.

2. I think the folks in Afghanistan and Pakistan are much more dangerous
than the folks in Iraq, since they are the ones planning attacks on us here.

4. Exactly what Patrick Murphy said this morning.
He was great...

They asked what made Obama the candidate for him and he said that only Obama, of the 3 remaining candidates, said he would go into Pakistan and capture or kill Bin Laden.

6. BS
There is no "War". There is an occupation that is being resisted by locals. Locals that belong to differing sects and because of the free for all attitude created by the Americans many Iraqis have died and many more will as well. The way to save lives is to remove our troops and stop the killing...Al Qaeda is no more powerful than Hell's Angels and about the same membership.

5. Does anybody know how smart he really is?
