1. Don't blame Powell. He has let them skate since he covered up for Mai Lai
The DCdems have let them skate. They are the ones who should be held accountable.

2. True. Amazing......no matter how many times I read or learn the story of Iraq
I am always amazed.

We all experience assholes at work, denial, power brokers, egos and the rest...

But to see the same crapass bullshit managerial style at work in the bombing of an entire country is so utterly and totally disgusting.

Unfuckingbelievable.

3. Bill Clinton: "Everybody Makes Mistakes"
Regarding Bush's claims about uranium"

"You know, everybody makes mistakes when they are president," Clinton said. "I mean, you can't make as many calls as you have to make without messing up once in awhile. The thing we ought to be focused on is what is the right thing to do now. That's what I think."

And WMD in Iraq:

"..it is incontestable that on the day I left office, there were unaccounted for stocks of biological and chemical weapons."

7. That was my very first - wtf moment
with the Clintons. I could not believe he was giving Bush a pass on the one thing that should have been the biggest issue of the 2004 campaign. You also note he says there were absolutely unaccounted for bio/chem WMD - when what he should have been saying is we had no way to know because of the 1998 bombing. Between this, the IWR vote strategy, her remarks to Code Pink before the invasion, and her dragging her feet on true opposition - I came to the conclusion they support the concept of US occupation of Iraq, they had just hoped it would be easier. I don't trust them to change anything.

5. And I thought Powell had found a little dignity and and resigned
voluntarily but according to the documentary he was fired, he was called and told by the chief of staff to submit a resignation letter because the president was changing the team.
