Edited on Tue Mar-25-08 10:09 PM by wordpix
He wants more pipelines, refineries, roads, terminals, drilling on federal lands, drilling off E and W Coasts.

No conservation for this asshole.

1. "If we don't get more oil, how do we get to work?" How about a bike, bus, rail or walking?

7. He's not so bad...
Consider, he's the CEO of Shell oil, but he is championing Gore's program, and also thinks we should have tax on driving in congested areas. To me, he looks like a realist that's familiar with alternative energy as well as oil. I think all the serious oil guys are trying to figure out how they can maintain control of energy by transforming their business. They want to be on top of whatever's happening so they can continue to sell energy, whether that be solar, nuclear, wind, etc.

8. he makes some sense but he wants to open up every sq. in. of land and continental shelf

13. Let me tell you something about congestion charges
They don't work.

That is, of course, unless you're the entity collecting those fees. Then they work just fine.

14. Yes... you're right in many ways . . . OPEC wants to be subsidized when
they have to cut or curtail pumping oil because of Global Warming ---
They announced that more than 10 years ago !!!!

Did Charlie Rose happen to ask this guy about the long propaganda campaign by the oil industry
to keep Americans from understanding the real threat of Global Warming????

10. And why is PBS/Charlie Rose giving him air time ... just watched a few mins of it ---
I think he overexaggerated how long it would take to set up windmills ---

They did it very quickly in California --- in just 3-4 months during Enron crisis they

put almost 180,000 families on line --- from scratch to finish!!!
