Proud To Be a Republican?
Edited on Wed Mar-26-08 01:50 PM by BeFree
Don't hear that too often do we?

The other night I spoke to my local council and told them I was proud to be a Democrat. That I was proud we now have a Dem congressperson and proud that we will have a Dem president a year fom now.

Everyone there, except the pukers, said they were glad to hear some good news for a change. And the pukers were rattled to hear someone so loudly and proudly proclaim their allegiance.

It felt good. Might I suggest that if you and yours need a little pick-me-up, you do the same?

Be Proud! Be Loud!

1. I thoroughly enjoy
sharing my pride in being a democrat, a liberal and a veteran every chance I get here in South Mississippi. Sadly I have to add that I am a veteran which tempers the vitriol just a tad. There are many "proud republicans" here. And they are all dumbasses who just love voting against their own best interests. And by gawd, they have conservative values.

2. It is fun
For too long we have shirked and even disowned our party.

Remember that half of our congresscritters voted against the Iraq invasion but pukes all voted to send our boys to that certain hell.

Not In My Name!

4. Thank you
....for that reminder. Next time I will include that in my speech.

And yes, I will be speaking out at every chance especially to the local officials that need to work to keep the party intact. We need more Democrats and less pukers, eh? It's one helluva way to campaign.

7. I do my little part.....
one or two at a time. It is difficult getting past the preconceptions at times ( I live in the deep, deep south), but I have been able to make some headway with the folks I work with and "some" family. Every one of us needs to be doing this....chipping away at the veneer of reganism.

9. The veneer of reaganism
That is our chief ideological problem. With that we have been painted into a corner. Time to repaint ourselves, eh?

6. DINOsaurs
Are fossils of real old, dead Democrats.

And for too long we have decried our own party when, in reality, it is our only hope and has proven to be the party of the people all along.

Dems have nearly always been right, while republicans have almost always been wrong.

If I hear another person putting dowm my party, I think I'm gonna have to clamp down on that DINO.

10. I am loud, proud and fearless when it comes to Pukes
I wear a flag pin upside down, and when they go to touch me and adjust it I block their hand and tell them we are a distressed nation and that Barack Obama WILL be the next President, AND THAT COME 1-20-09 the fucking Reich wing rule ends and they can crawl back in their holes.

I also carry a "portable hammer" in my pocket for causing civil unrest. And damage.
