I just peeked in on GD-P and I've come to one conclusion:

We're going to lose in November.

And before you pull out your flamethrower and point it at me, you can check my post record and see that I intend to do nothing less than support, volunteer and work hard for, and vote for our nominee no matter who it ends up being. And I have only posted a single thtread in there since its name was changed to GD-Primaries. That post was to say how ashamed I was of the behavior in there.

Today, I looked and I no longer have any hope of us winning in November.

And, I am still ashamed.

8. This assumes that GD-P is representative of the party and the country

I don't get back to the States every week, but when I do, I usually visit NYC, Virginia,
Texas, and a smattering of other places, and from my meager experience, GD-P is a seething
cauldron isolated and an entity unto itself. It's Skinner's decision to let the pot boil
unfettered, but to call it representative of the country is a stretch at best. The number
of real people out there that see their enemies lurking on every corner are far fewer out
there in the real world. I still like our chances, no matter who the nominee is. I see
Diebold (and similar companies) as a greater threat than McCain.
