did the Al Gore swiftboat story come from the American Enterprise Institute?
"Drew Johnson is the president of the Tennessee Center for Policy Research (TCPR). Prior to founding TCPR, he served as a policy analyst at the National Taxpayers Union Foundation where he authored “The Return of Fuzzy Math and Risky Schemes: How Presidential Hopefuls Would Deepen Deficits,” a major influence for the increased focus on government spending in the 2004 presidential election.

In 2002, while at the American Enterprise Institute, Johnson’s research on the link between increased campaign finance regulation and rates of incumbent reelection served as the empirical backbone in the Supreme Court Case “McConnell v. FEC.” As a research analyst for the Modern Red Schoolhouse Institute in Nashville, he examined state educational standards, education reform and pedagogical use of technology."

Who is the American Enterprise Institute? These guys:

"Scientists and economists have been offered $10,000 each by a lobby group funded by one of the world's largest oil companies to undermine a major climate change report due to be published today.

Letters sent by the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), an ExxonMobil-funded thinktank with close links to the Bush administration, offered the payments for articles that emphasise the shortcomings of a report from the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)."

3. Drudge got it from someone else, they were on Ed Shultz today

hang on I'm looking for the link..

edit: Got it "The Tennessee Center For Policy Research" http://www.seeingtheforest.com/archives/2007/02/a_far_too_conve.htm
and let me just add that Ed basically kissed their ass on his show, he asked them a couple lame questions about the timing but thanked them and invited them back. I listened to his show for about an hour and after the third caller who felt the need to insist that they weren't "right wingers" but were espousing right wing view points I gave up.

4. The AEI is the (maybe) most influential of the right-wing think tanks that
currently pollute the political process. Though it is never identified as right-wing in newspaper columns, it has been behind many "swift-boat" efforts from the fascists for many years.

In addition, they are able to parade "experts" out on all the con-controlled media to spout their propoganda. Liberals need to fight this, but until we have some access to the media, it will not happen.

7. I think they're generally described as conservative
They're not just conservative, but neocon interventionists. AEI is who's behind the "surge" in Iraq, according to mainstream media reports.

9. You left some thing out on AEI
These are the people behind The Policy for a New American Century. Also known as PNAC.
AEI is the front organization for the criminals who have hijacked our country. It is the vehicle they use to get their messages and plans out to their supporters across the country.
AEI will go down in history as a criminal organization comparable to the National Socialists in Germeny last century.
If anyone here is not familiar with PNAC I highly recommend googleing it up and reading it.So much stuff will make sense afterward.
