Regarding US dead in Iraq.....
Edited on Wed Mar-26-08 10:43 PM by Postman
You might hear a RWer say of the now over 4000 dead....

well, we lost a lot more people on the invasion of ------------ (insert your Japanese Island dujour) during WWII....

I was just pondering what a US Civil War veteran would have said of those that may have questioned the worth of an island at the cost of soo many people......

What are you complaining about, we lost more in one day at Antietam than you did at ---------

Where have all the flowers gone?

1. That rationalization pisses me off and makes no sense to me at all.

ONE is to many, in an illegal war of choice! WWII wasn't a choice, it had to be done

but this Iraq Occupation was a choice, a really bad one!!

Truthfully, I'd like to punch the people who say that in the nose!! :grr:

And thank you for mentioning it because I read that in an article

this morning and it started my day off on the wrong foot! :nuke:

4. Most volunteered to go after Osama
They didn't volunteer to illegally invade a country that had no ties to 9/11.

6. that comment made by cheney
is really showing his stunning arrogance towards the troops and the American people. Cheney has deep disdain for any American, thus his response of "so".

400,000 or 4 million, it's all "collateral damage,"
get over it.
That is not meant disparagingly, rather, until we see us as
they see us there is little reason for hope.
