Same person shot for second time at Vito’s in Johnson City

JOHNSON CITY — A man shot inside a Johnson City nightclub in December was shot again early Wednesday morning in the same club’s parking lot.

Sgt. Kevin Peters with the Johnson City Police Department said the shootings are not related.

Patrol officers responded to Vito’s Italian, 3103 N. Roan St., and were told that a man had been shot but was already on the way to the hospital with a friend.

Police said the suspect is Anthony Parnell Mitchell, 29, whose address is unknown. Officers issued a warrant for his arrest on one count of attempted first-degree murder.
