The Green Zone is under daily attack and
U.S. personnel are being told to stay home for safety reasons. They're asking for more manpower in Afghanistan. How much longer before we get smart and get out?

1. When's the oil gonna run out?? I'm just sayin, or better yet, when
are they going to switch to the Euro, we bomb the crap out of them again, declare victory, yada yada yada. If they reinstate their oil industry contracts with Russia, France and Germany we will leave.

2. That would appear to be the goal of the
current Bush/Cheney "co-presidency". Did you see that report on Frontline about Bush always allowing Cheney to have the final say? Sort of tells us all who's actually running the country.

4. I think they've already restored their oil contracts with France. Lots of billionaires
being made in Iraq every day. The country is awash in cash.

6. Get out
..of where? Afghanistan? At the very least Afghanistan must not be allowed to return to the Taliban. Canada has 2,500 troops there, and we have been doing good work there since 2001.

8. Iraq.
I have never argued against Afghanistan although...

Without the capture of bin Laden and George Bush's apparent loss of interest in capturing bin Laden and our limited ability to-date to only safeguard the cities, a really good argument could be made to get out of Afghanistan as well.

7. We crouch down while they stand up.
But we're turning the corner, heading for the light at the end of the tunnel and making progress.

10. The fact that the Green Zone happens to be under attack only shows the surge is working
Also, telling all US personnel in Iraq to stay indoors demonstrates that Saddam was cooperating with al-Qaeda. Also, ketchup counts as a vegetable in school lunches. Also, the best way to support our troops is to go shopping.
