Sharpen up your keyboards, the media is a-comin' and they're gunnin' for us

Hillary didn't do herself any favors with the Bosnia thing,
but it is peripheral to whether or not she would be a good
manager of the economy or our foreign policy. Whether she will
be forgiven for it in the media or the blogosphere is another
question entirely. Just wait for the campaign for the presidency,
once the Democratic nominee is decided.

If you think THAT was a major issue, just you wait and see.
If the nominee is Obama, as now seems likely (March 28),
then if he chooses a chocolate ice cream cone over a vanilla
ice cream cone, the Republican hate machine will be putting
out literature and editorials in droves pointing to how Obama
is pandering to a racist constituency. Should he refuse to
answer such allegations, they will consider themselves
proven correct, and if he does answer them, if only to point
out how absurd they are, he will be made out to making a hasty
and unconvincing retreat from his ice cream cone racist gesture.

This is the point to which media coverage of politics has degenerated
in the USA, and whether or not a candidate would be better for
America and the world is no longer a question considered vital enough
to present to the voters. You think I'm exaggerating?

Just you wait. Wolf Blitzer, Candy Crowley, Bill Schneider, Tim Russert,
Roger Ailes and his allies at National Hate Radio are packing, and they
have us in their sights.

4. If Obama gets the nomination, Rove will launch the most vicious
attack in campaign history, and given this country's history, that's saying a lot.

If Obama tries to ignore the slurs and lies by continuing with his Kumbyyah campaign, the corporate media will brand him another Dukakis.

If Obama strikes back, so much for the feel-good campaign and reaching out, and he will be branded an "angry black man" filled with hatred for traditional American values.

To all those whining about Clinton's campaign, you ain't seen nothing yet.

5. It'll be something to watch....
And to be honest... I'd rather see Obama take it now, than Hillary.

She has been through enough, at the hands of her own party IMO.

7. Me too.
Hillary isn't stupid. She has dealt with the slime machine for years and she knows what is coming for Obama which is why she desperately wants to stay in the race. She knows full well what the RW is going to dredge up on Obama and she can't stop it. Sometimes, it is better to let the chips fall where they will.

6. And wait until they bring out...
Khalidi, Wright, The Woods Fund, Arab American Network, Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, Rezko and a whole host of other bullshit. It will be the repuke slime at it worst and it won't matter to them if the information is based on half truths or downright lies, they will make it stick. Rove is the filthiest piece of shit on the planet which is exactly why the RW hires him to run campaigns. He plays behind the scenes dredging up filth, little snippets of information, lies, distortions, scrap of paper and uses them to win elections

8. Of course Rove & Co. will feed them crap to spew out
My point is, that as journalists, they have the responsibility to ignore
the crap and report on things of substance, and disregard lies placed in
their teleprompters by Rove and his clones.

My fear is that they will continue not to do so. I wish that Gordon Brown
would lend us the BBC until the November election is over. We could use
the foreign aid.
