Yay! Dan Abrams is running some of my Siegelman footage!

Don Siegelman is supposed to be on the phone on Dan Abrams' show tonight, and they called to let us know they were going to show some of my 2004 interview footage - I think they're going to use some of the footage where he speaks about Karl Rove.

I know he recently switched to a new format for his show and it's now named "Verdict," but didn't know it was a Mon-Thurs thing.

Keith has covered this story some before, but has never mentioned the 2002 stolen election or much of the back story that shows exactly how corrupt the whole nest of Republicans, Judges, and corporations are.

The other issue is that these shows try to stick to a news of the day format, and well, my interview is from 2004. Nevermind he's talking about the exact point Karl Rove turned on him and why... it's just not topical.

Symbolman was talking to CNN earlier, but wasn't having much luck.

To pitch these things, you have to ask for a specific producer or aim it at a particular show. CNN Breaking News doesn't care that Don Siegelman was just released, and so they care even less about my old interview.

That's just how these things work. Now if I could only get Britney Spears saying something about Don Siegelman... (kidding!)

21. Oh, it's been a rough one.

Things are much better than they've been - I owe the DU some serious catching up, and I will... Symbolman came down with flu, then pneumonia and ended up in bed for over 2 months - certainly not what we needed.

The last the board in general knew where he was he was off to cover Edwards...

29. Yeah, he was covering Edwards - major problems, Houston

And caught the really nasty east coast flu, collapsed in the airport - we had to bring him home, and he probably should have been hospitalized. After two weeks of antibiotics, it was worse than ever and had turned into pneumonia, and finally a different antibiotic along with some inhalers knocked it back. By the time he was well again, Edwards had bailed out of the race.

Part of the problem was the expense of actually following Edwards was the cost of the traveling, and we were trying to do it spur of the moment on the cheap, and it just ended up in Sym becoming exhausted from no sleep, making him a prime target to get sick.

Hugely humiliating experience because we don't like letting DUers down and I apologize to all of the DU. This one just didn't work out despite all of our efforts. We always want to be good to our word and in May we should be able to make good for anyone who would like their donation back if you feel we let you down.

But we will continue to be active politically, and it was happy news to have actually gotten some of the Siegelman footage out there and hope we've made a difference. I'm hoping the footage maybe have helped bring awareness of Karl Rove's part in all this, and hope he's subpoenaed.

I'm sure DU would rather have him up & humming than flat on his back due to overextention. I saw Verdict last night, and the footage helps give the story background & context that makes it easier for a late-comer to understand.
