3. He wants Libby to get off.
Tweety is just a repuke. I have observed his comments off an on through this mess. He lies so he is worried that telling the truth might become fashionable.

6. I have no idea
if the person's brother is running for office. However, the comment on Matthews should a total lack of knowledge on where he stands.

7. Opps, thought Matthews was who you were referring to.
Was wondering if his brother still had political aspirations.

10. No.
Anyone who has watched the trial knows that it is because of Matthews' accurate reporting on Cheney, Libby and the yellow cake lies that Scooter placed his call to Russert .... and that call will help convict him. Joe Wilson makes clear on page 1 of his book that Matthews was one of the keys to helping him in the case. Those who continue to take cheap shots at him are either ignorant when it comes to the case, or not on the same side as Wilson and Matthews.

16. Tweety is a schizophrenic personality - with that said, he never employs standard
journalistic integrity to anything he does. He isn't in the game for honest discussion and/or reporting but to further his own lame opinions and massage his massive ego. He just can't shut up and listen to anyone. He talks over his own damn guests. Corrects THEM as if he is the font of all wisdom.

Example - Tweets is still pushing the idea that Hillary was claiming that Bill was a "bad man" in her comment a couple of weeks ago. Never mind that many people, including myself, thought Hill was discussing Ken Starr and the vast reichwingnuts who were out to destroy the entire family. Tweets brought it up - again - on his show last night. He mentions it every damn night - no matter who is on. Keeps implying that Bill is continuing to do "bad things" in New York and Hillary is going to have to do something to calm him down. He ended the segment last night stating that Hillary needs to rein in Bill by saying, paraphrasing here - "While Bill does his Holly Go-Lightly routine."

He wasn't named "Mis-informer of the Year" in 2005 by Media Matters for nothing. And he had some pretty stiff competition.

27. Ouch! You are right. I didn't use it in the correct context but Tweety
is such a two-faced, lying, corrupt piece of shit I just drug up the first term that came to mind. I stand corrected. But everything else I said about the corporate twit IS correct.

20. Agreed. As I've said, I see a lot of misunderstanding about what Tweety does.
He's fascinated by the game of politics - the strategies, tactics, and moves. He's not a "policy wonk" or ideologue anyewhere nearly as much as he's fascinated by the dialectic itself. He's like someone watching a street fight without "skin in the game" - he just likes seeing how it's done. He saves his praise and disdain for how WELL (or dirty) people play the game, not for their political positions. I see very little in Tweety that's the result of any hidden agenda - he's not proseltyzing nor does he carry water for either party.

I guess the same people who hated Howard Cosell would hate Tweety.

23. In this case,
it would be as if they were saying that Howard hated Ali, and basing their "insight" on Ed Dooley's words.

25. (lol) I'd say that's a good analogy.
 Though I doubt Tweety is quite as favorably disposed to either side as Howard was to Ali.

9. Update - Judge doesn't understand the jury's question
Walton: I've received the party proposal as to what I should say to the jury. I have some questions in my mind as to what the jury is asking me. I'm going to send a note back to the jury indicating I am not certain what they're asking, can you clarify what you're asking.

Wells: As long as the record is clear that it's the position of the defense that we think the note is clear. We would ask your honor not to send the note. I think govt and defense are reading the note in the same fashion. Defense response and govt response are both very close.

Walton: You may well be right. I have some uncertainty. I'll send that back. I assume we'll get something back very quickly.

So we'll wait in the courtroom, I guess.

13. It doesn't mean they are deadlocked
Edited on Wed Feb-28-07 10:32 AM by dancingme
That would be an easy question to answer if they asked "What do we do if we can't agree on a decision?" Judges get that question in every kind of jury trial.

He's gunning for an "exclusive" in his expectation of acquittal
In the event he's wrong and Libby's found guilty, he'll take Wells.

17. UPDATE - no need for the note
11:05

Okay, everyone seems to be in agreement. We're just waiting on the judge–and hopefully, the jury. Remember them, the jury?

Fitz is now explaining this in animated gestures to Zeidenberg. Doesn't seem to have anything to do with the jacuzzi, though.

Wells also explaining something, to Libby.

Walton back.

The jury sent a note in response, indicating that after further discussion, "we are clear on what we need to do." They no longer need clarification.

Um. So much for the question.

Wells is saying, It's nice we could come to some joint resolution.
