WASHINGTON - He travels with a green duffel bag stuffed with nonfiction books about military campaigns and political affairs. He has an iPod and noise-canceling earphones to listen to oldies and some country-western music.

Oh, and he has two planes, including a C-17 military transport with a 40-foot silver trailer in its belly for his privacy and comfort, and round-the-clock bodyguards and medical staff.

Vice President Dick Cheney is not your regular road warrior. He does not wait in airport security lines or take off his shoes to walk through metal detectors. But then, most people do not go to war zones, hobnob with Saudi royalty or dine with prime ministers.

Cheney returned Wednesday from a 10-day trip to Iraq, Oman, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Israel, the Palestinian territory and Turkey. The rigors of travel and ever-present security concerns make sightseeing difficult. Still, he squeezed in a little on his final stop in Istanbul.

The same ones our tax dollars paid for that took Harry Whittington to the hospital when Darth shot him in the face. And then Darth got a day and 1/2 to sober up, knowing his "friend" had the best medics money could buy.

This POS makes me sick. Truly: what kind of innocent human child grows into such a monster? How many rationalisations can one mind make so it can live with killing over 4000 Americans, countless Iraqis, torturing and maiming people who never hurt anyone, bringing grief and agony to families and evoking hatred and violence around the world?

I'm against the death penalty and most acts of revenge, but I admit I would get incredible schadenfreude from seeing this man get the power ripped from him. I think a fitting punishment would be to keep him alive for another 40 years and show video on an endless loop of all the evil he's created.
