Libby Jury Note
Note from the jury:

We would like clarification on the charge aas stated under Count 3 specifically:

Page 74 of the jur instructions, "Count three of the indictmentn alleges that Mr. Libby falsely told the FBI on October 14 or November 26, 2003, that during a conversation with M. Cooper of Time Magazine on July 12, 2003, Mr. Libby told Mr. Cooper that reporters were telling the administration that Mr. Wilson's wife worked for the CIA but that Mr. Libby did not know of this was true. (i.e., is the charge that the statement was made or about theh content of the statement itself)

Judge's note at the bottom — I am not exactly certain what you are asking me. Can you please clarify your question?

Walton back.

The jury sent a note in response, indicating that after further discussion, "we are clear on what we need to do." They no longer need clarification.

Um. So much for the question.

3. I'm starting to get nervous
The longer it takes the more nervous I get. At first I liked that they seemed thoughtful and precise. Now I'm wondering what is taking so long. It's not like there was really any defense presented. They didn't even present the bullshit case that they said they were going to present.

After all it's just he said he said she said she said he said he said he said.....

:scared:

5. looking at every exhibit
maybe... they know this is a high profile case and they want to be sure they can say they considered every piece of evidence when they are second guessed by the media (or Fox News when the verdict is GUILTY!)

7. They Know He's Guilty, but Some of the Jurors Are Afraid to Cast a "Guilty" Vote
so the ones who have been threatened are stalling and hoping for a hung jury.

8. They are following instructions. They are deliberating.
That is what juries are supposed to do. There will be a questionaire for each count that they must take up and respond to. One step at a time, and each step will lead to another, until all the questions are answered and the verdict returned. Or not.

If they were going to nullify they would just vote no and go home.

10. Right - it seems like they should understand the charge
better than that.

11. I hope this is a good sign.
Sounds like they have worked their way through at least to count three, or have made decisions about the others and saved this one for the last.

I'll bet we have a decision in the next day or so.

13.  alleges that Mr. Libby falsely told the FBI on October 14 or November 26, 2003,
If this is an example of how the charges are worded then Libby will walk on all counts. Which is it October 14th or November 26th? If they don't know the day he supposedly lied then :wtf:
