Sen. Byron Dorgan laying it all out re; the mortgage crisis.
Edited on Mon Mar-31-08 02:14 PM by Texas Explorer
Highlighted how predatory lenders victimized people, read the advertising materials for these companies.

Calls out corporate welfare recipients while calling for help for the victimized homeowners.

He's doing a good job.

1. I like Dorgan -- he was against NAFTA from the very beginning
His book "Take This Job and Ship It" was a condemnation of the outsourcing of U.S. jobs.

He seems to have a good grasp of what is going on.

6. I really like him too but he has to stop talking about this and do something.
He wants a bi-partisan committee that can subpoena these guys and get to the bottom of these contracts so why hasn't he put holds on spending bills? Why hasn't he refused to budge and made them come out and oppose such a committee. Grandstanding on TV is not getting it done!

3. He just tore the Army and AEY a new one, on Halliburton NOW!!!
Edited on Mon Mar-31-08 02:10 PM by Texas Explorer
AEY is the company that was awarded a $300 million contract to two punks in Miami Beach to supple the Afghan army with arms. The Afghans said they were sent old Chinese junk.

5. Isn't it time they either sh_t or get off the pot. Dorgan needs to put a hold on ALL military
spending bills until the repukes agree to the committee he is requesting. That committee would have the power to review contracts and subpoena witnesses. I don't care if they are repukes or dems, if they're stealing taxpayer dollars, they need to be caught. Come on Dorgan, stop talking about it and DO SOMETHING!!!

4. these Senators need to hear from all of us, show no mercy.
we really got to lay into them, that there are some of us who are awake and well aware of what the hell is going on in the country. And to stop this insane idea of attacking Iran.
