I'm sorry, but people didn't show the proper respect to Bush at the National's.
Didn't he lose the right to ANY respect from reasonable and caring people long ago? Why is that only "some" were booing him? What was wrong with the rest of the people in that crowd? They had their chance to make a statement -- they weren't penned up in some "protest" area. They knew he would hear them. And that the media was out in force.

Imagine if that whole stadium -- or even 80% of it -- had stood up and roared.

Oh well.

1. They should have chased him out of the place with rocks
He's very lucky all he got was booed.

2. what I would LOVE to see....
an entire stadium full of people stand up and turn their backs to him in complete silence. Maybe then he'll understand what it feels like.

4. Unfortunately, the MSM probably wouldn't cover that.
I agree, it would be quite a sight.

But I think you give Bush too much credit -- he'll NEVER be able to understand what other people feel like. As a full-blown narcissist, he has ZERO empathy.

18. Um, I'm no psychologist, but . . .
narcissism and inability to empathize with others -- don't they call people like that sociopaths? Just sayin'. :hide:

19. Not all narcissists are sociopaths, even though lack of empathy is a hallmark
of the disorder. (That's why Bill Clinton is probably not a full-blown narcissist -- he does appear to have some empathy.)

But I agree -- Bush is probably a pathological narcissist.

5. That was my take.
The clips that I saw didn't really seem to have that much booing. They should have been throwing stuff on the field - though I am sure that the place was thick with security. A lot of it was applause and cheers.

Hell, a bad call gets umpires worse than that on a good day.

9. It was much louder on the YouTube/ESPN clip
It sounded like 40-50% booing. But I saw the same clip on the corporate media twice this morning and couldn't hear the booing at all...and it wasn't mentioned either. Take from that what you will.

6. 31% Still Would Gladly Vote For Him
You must remember, that if given the opportunity, 31% would be prepared right now to vote for him again.

So if you figure 1/3rd were booing, 1/3rd were cheering, and the other 1/3rd did nothing, it would not sound overwhelming.

7. The 1/3rd did who nothing may still hate him
Many will not do anything out of "respect for the office" even though it is clear that the booing is for the idiot, not the office.

My wife will tell me that I must respect the office to which I reply, I do I just can't stand the criminal who occupies it.

Was there any respect when they were blasting the shit out of Clinton, over a fucking blow job?

13. I agree.
It's silly to hold "the office" in higher esteem than the document that creates it.

14. I don't disagree...
It is old school patriotic god and country propaganda to demand respect for the office when the person it has desecrated the office and the country as this ass has.

16. Besides, when he's out there throwing a baseball, he's not
being the President.

He's just being a show-off -- fair game no matter what.

15. At least 2/3's should have been booing, then.
As it was, it sounded like about 10% to me.

8. It is tradition to boo politicians at ball games. Some boos are because
of him being a dickhead, so because it is what we do.

17. Why? Because you wanted the chance to tell me how wrong I was?
I meant to give a few people a chuckle.

Guess it just proves that not everyone has the same sense of humor.
