1. step down
I think it's high time that Gore stepped down once and for all. He's just a narcissist bitch who refuses to step down at the risk of his party and his nation. I think we should do a barrage of posts imploring him to step down right away. Yeah, that'll work.

3. Step Down From What?
He's not in any position to step down from.

Perhaps you're pointing that out, and being sarcastic. He's in a new campaign now, and politics are not involved.

I doubt we'll see him in any capacity, even in a Democratic administration. I think he prefers his independence.

7. They're just being a jag-bag over all the "step down" Clinton requests
from Americans.

But you might have already known that, and thought you'd approach it from the point of view of a rational, polite, non-embittered, "slash-and-burn" type of individual.

2. Because People Are Naive
Why do people go and cheer for last place sports teams, that have NO CHANCE at making the playoffs?

People always hold out hope.

And as soon as '08 comes and goes, there will be plenty of people thinking that '12 is the year he's going to run, and start up an all new DraftGore movement.

I'd gladly vote for him, were he to run. But even I figure there's a snowball's chance in hell of that happening.

Gore has reconciled himself with the fact he's Never going to become President. This was his best and last chance, and he decided to let Obama & Hillary fight it out.

I think there is some reason that we'll never know, as to why he stayed out of the race. I think our country, and our planet, will someday live to regret it, but what can ya do. MANY tried to change his mind, MANY practically begged him, yet he declined, and it is what it is.

If the Democrats lose in November, I will place part of the blame on him. He won't have my vote again, but I don't think he's under any illusions of having another opportunity. Especially if a Democrat takes the WH this year.

5. Because we'll need somebody to stand up against President McCain in 2012
and if Gore gets started this soon in the process... he's inevitable!

6. Right, gotta plan ahead to defeat an incumbent puke president.
But our party has to overcome this enduring impulse to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by nominating unelectable candidates with Al Gore we will rectify this fatal error of self-deception.
