CNN, MSNBC out pacing Fox in key demographic
CNN grows 90%, MCNBC 68%... Fox only 12% in First Quarter prime time numbers among the advertiser critical 25-54 demographic

"For the first time since 2001, CNN beat Fox in prime time for one quarter, in the all-important age 25-54 demo, according to the NY Times.

Thanks to its debate coverage and heavy focus on the presidential primaries, CNN’s ratings in prime time for viewers 25 to 54 were up 90 percent, to an average of 453,000 for the first quarter of 2008.

That was enough to edge past the perennial leader, Fox, which had 438,000 viewers, up 12 percent from last year.

MSNBC also had a strong quarter in prime time, growing 68 percent to 329,000 viewers."

I guess Faux news has a hard time with the Dem primaries.
They have to make both Obama and Hillary look bad yet inform people as to what's going on in the elections. It's real hard to be fair and balanced when you are the right wing's propaganda arm.

2. Except for Olbermann, MSNBC is doing its best...
to appeal to the lowest common denominator
as far as 'broad demographics..'

They pander to the easiest memes to spread...

They are almost unwatchable now..

6. I wouldn't get too excited about this
Fox didn't have any debates. At least not any Democratic debates. I think that helped goose the ratings for CNN. Fox, unfortunately, is still one of the most overall watched cable networks, CNN & MSNBC aren't. So they still get to spew their garbage.
