Bernanke and the Republicans only????
This morning as I was getting ready to go to work, twice i heard reported on our generic news station that Bernanke met with the house republicans to discuss the economy, and the Fed. WTF? What is up with that and why is this being reported and not questioned? What did they talk about, how to blame this mess on the Democrats? Maybe they talked about union busting and eliminating the right to sue corporations to save the economy. How would we know if it was anything different? If Democrats were excluded, why would be think it was anything but absolutely not on the level. Did they discuss how the repukes are going to get their asses handed to them in the next election, and what he, Bernanke could do about it? Wouldn't that be illegal?

You know that what is best for the American economy did not even enter into it, otherwise everyone would have been included.

i never knew that the Fed was partisan, but know I guess I know now.

5. but the "democrats" still act like the repukes were in the minority
this is a country of the wealthy, by the wealthy and for the wealthy.

Wealth is represented by repukes and the fed is and always has been a 100% pure repuke institution--privatized national economy.

3. The Democrats Are Irrelevant
Haven't you figured that out yet? They're lucky if they still get invited to congressmen's birthday parties.

It's pretty much a waste of their time anyways. None of the people in power really care much what the Democrats might propose. If they had them at this meeting, it would be more for "show" than anything else.

7. The FBI, CIA, DIA, NSA, ICE FDA - it's all for Republicans. We are

stupid if we don't understand it and do something. These Republican agencies even assassinated our leaders. There is nothing they wouldn't do for Republicans and Dems enable it. How much are we going to bet that Hoyer or Pelosi will do nothing? I hope I'm not too cynical this morning. How in the world is this pulled over on us?

12. Stupid
Guys he testified before the Joint Economic Committee.

Committee Chairman Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., peppered Bernanke with questions about the Fed's moves to aid once mighty Wall Street firm Bears Stearns and then juxtaposed that with -- what he believed was a lack of help -- to millions of people at risk of losing their homes.

"I hope that you will use your position to jawbone this administration to get behind the housing relief effort before Congress." Schumer said. "Addressing the housing crisis head-on will do as much to instill confidence in the markets as lowering interest rates or bolstering regulatory oversight of wayward mortgage lenders and financial institutions. We need to do all of it."

"Wall Street has been helped. Now it's time to help Main Street," added Rep. Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y.

See. Please look into things a bit before freaking out.

13. Everyone seems to forget that...
they have been doing this for the past seven years, and now everytime a subject comes up they try to put all the blame on the Democrats when they had the Presidency, house and senate and I have been watching all of those seven years and I know who did what and when and this is what should be said everyday to let the new voters know who and what has been going on and how we got to this point. These crooked bastards are trying to change history, and there should be plenty of videos posted all over the net to bring them Down. Mitch McConnell,Sennesenbreener,Stevens,Inhofe,Phil Gingrey,Orrin Hatch,Boehner,Norm COleman,Roy Blunt,Eric Cantor,Lindsay Graham, Thad Cochran,John Kyl, and many more are some of the most evil, hateful bastards ever...and don't forget Lieberman

22. now that I have had a whole day to think about this I am convinced
the meeting was how to present the news of the economy (to their constituents) in a way that will help the repukes retain their seats and how to delay the coming implosion until Dems take control, for the blame game. WE NEED ANSWERS, what was this meeting about....
