Boy dies of toothache
I can't even describe the frustration/anger/sadness I feel when I hear stories like this. This is UNACCEPTABLE in America.

WASHINGTON - Twelve-year-old Deamonte Driver died of a toothache Sunday.

A routine, $80 tooth extraction might have saved him.

If his mother had been insured.

If his family had not lost its Medicaid.

If Medicaid dentists weren't so hard to find.

If his mother hadn't been focused on getting a dentist for his brother, who had six rotted teeth.

2. This is infuriating.
There is even a toothpaste ad that says bad teeth can cause heart problems, etc. How they can keep the two separate frustrates the hell out of me.

3. But Bush wants to give her a tax credit so she can afford....
healthcare. :banghead: If she had enough money to GET a tax credit this wouldn't even be an issue.

:wtf: is wrong with Republicans? Were they all dropped on their heads as infants?

Lets give the Pentagon another huge budget increase. Let's give the wealthy another tax break. Let's give American Corporations that incorporate offshore to evade taxes and then outsource all of their jobs to some other country more tax incentives. CAN WE PLEASE? :grr:

5. Unfortunately, even with medicaid you could have this happen
because many dentists refuse to take patients who have medicaid/medicare.
