I'm shocked. For a while there, a couple of years or so ago, she was kind of down on the war, but then she seemed to return to Republican lockstep after she took a trip over there. What kind of questions was she asking?

(could be wrong) that most of the members on the SFRC aren't marching to Bush's War Drum.

I could have misinterpreted her questions - but what struck me was that instead of blah blah-ing Bushco's lines, she seemed to be asking questions in an honest attempt to understand. (Unfortunately, the witnesses today leave much to be desired...)

5. Well, as I said, she did seem to have some doubts

earlier, a couple of years ago, so maybe she's revisiting her original stance ... we can hope. She certainly is generally more thoughtful than Ted when it comes to these sorts of issues -- and she answers her mail, which is nice. I'm sure she's hearing quite a bit from her constituents about the war these days since it seems to have become very unpopular up here. We have a strong military presence, and I think the soldiers are getting really tired of being sent back again and again and again.

I'm sorry but I don't have the specifics, just a general sense that she's on the "right side" and was asking valid questions.
