6. I have this feeling...
Edited on Wed Apr-02-08 11:39 PM by Tandalayo_Scheisskop
That the whole conservative movement is going to one day explode in a frothy tsunami of Boy Butter, Ball Gags, Cock Rings and glory holes. Long time members of the gay community, who have thought they have seen it all, will be left to loudly exclaim "Just who in the hell ARE these freaks and why won't they leave my Bull Mastiff the hell alone??!!". ;-)

On edit: I might add that at no time in my life, did I ever sit back in my chair and say: "Geez, I got done early today. I think I will spend some time reading about Gay Bowel Syndrome." And they think I am screwy because I'm a big ol' librul.

7. There's a certain freudian thing to it.
They obsess over what they fear, and they seem to have mighty fears about "catching teh gay".

Some just have a "wide stance", instead.

8. It's another semi-obvious male sexual symbol.
The virility of a horse, but with *two* phallic objects! ;)

Well, that, and the bible says they're real, which kinda freaks bible thumpers out, because if unicorns aren't real, well then maybe, just maybe, their magical book isn't entirely true.

18. According to Conservapedia...
There is a "growing number of Creation researchers are theorizing that the unicorn was actually a member of the ceratopsian baramin."

Don't take my word for it.

11. Gee, why would the right-wingers be this obsessed with homosexuals and homosexuality?
Could it be that many homophobes are subconsciously (or consciously) aroused by homosexuality and that just drives them to distraction?

I've already been told that saying this is offensive, but everything about the way right-wing nuts & homophobes behave seems to confirm it.

Why on earth would ANYONE obsess about other people's sex lives if it wasn't because something about said sexuality made them very uncomfortable?

Thinking about gay people going at it doesn't bug me at all. Not my cup of tea, but it doesn't make me mad, or excited, or upset - I simply don't care, any more than I would care if the couple next store got into leather gimp outfits every night. I only concern myself with my own bedroom, and whatever it is that others enjoy is not my concern.

12. It's difficult to fathom what makes them get so upset about what other people do in the
privacy of their own bedrooms. I can understand the closet-cases being obsessed with homosexuality (There are other things I can't fathom about them.), but I don't understand why straight conservatives are so obsessed with it. I just can't quite wrap my mind around it. How on earth is it hurting them ?

14. It might have something to do with...
...why people who have a mental illness study psychology, psychiatry, etc.: self-medication, or self-healing.

Maybe the poor GOPhers believe that if they can just figure out this gay thing, they can cure themselves of it.

16. Rather than the insulting assumption that cons are secretly gay, I will instead
suggest that what is passed off as a conservative set of values is instead just a loosely knit set of grievances tied together with a string of hatred of - and obsession with - gays.

Is it insulting to gays because it means that gays might be...secretly republican?

(and yes, I'm just joking!)
