The George W. Bush Naming Project for America
Y'know how Grover Norquist has made it his llife's work to get everything in the US named after Reagan?

The sewage plant in San Francisco that wants to be re-named after George, started me thinking..

We need a project for Georgie..and since Grover's busy, we could come up with a list of places all over America that could use a new name..

We're not talking schools & post offices or airports & freeways..

I'd volunteer to have ourbeloved "Stringfellow Acid Pits" (superfund site) renamed in his honor..

Got any in your neck 'o the woods?

LOVE George Bush CANAL -superfund site

5. Tar Creek Superfund site in Oklahoma
Zinc/lead mining from the turn of the century to the 1970's. AKA Picher Lead/Zinc Mining District. Largest superfund site in the USA. The piles of chat pulled from the mines sits like a small range of mountains. The lead has leached into the water and is poisoning the children in that area. To add insult to injury, the chat that has been removed is being used as fill and road gravel.

This would be more appropriately named after our "dumb as a post" pResident.

6. The Hanford Nuclear Waste Dump
This place is a disaster area, from what I've read.

http://www.hanfordwatch.org/

"The Hanford Nuclear Reservation is the largest nuclear waste dump in the Western Hemisphere and a major Northwest environmental issue."

7. A new entry in the American Heritage Dictionary for the word "bush"
"bush":

–noun
waste matter discharged from the body, esp. feces.

ex. "Johnny, wipe your feet before you go indoors because you stepped in some of Fido's bush."

8. I like that suggestion. Kind of like "santorum."
Too bad santorum's already taken.

Instead of landmarks, we could also name events for him. So any gross miscalculation with disastrous consequences could now be called a "bush." Or the act of being totally out of touch or ignorant on a topic.
