Great Letter to the Editor

I saw this letter-to-the-editor in the Daily Oklahoman.

I Wonder,

Easter Sunday, 1945: We landed four divisions on Okinawa. I was a young
officer in the 6th Marine Division. Our side killed 100,000 Japanese.
They killed or wounded 35,000 of our young men. This took three months.
Now that we've been in Iraq for five years, I wonder that if the present
administration had been in charge during World War II, would we today be
eating a lot of rice and fish, and speaking Japanese and German?

4. He phrased it badly, but you get the gist.

There's no point in picking apart the argument you would chose to have over his clear intent in pointing out the incompetence and failure of "Teh War on Terra".

5. My interpretation was, we haven't killed enough of them and that is why the war is still going on.

Maybe I am seeing it wrong but I agree he was criticizing the Administration but for the wrong reasons. It strikes me that he is one of the "glass em" people...
