1. thanks for posting this
I love Stephanie--Randi not so much. I think that going to the rwing response was wise. Glad that she reminded everyone that Steph is on the Jones Radio Network. Wonder if Randi will jump to that network instead of AAR.

3. From what I heard yesterday, Malloy was hinting....
...that she should join Nova M.

When the situation shakes out at AAR (and I'm starting to think that Randi is done with them), I think she'll have a number of options.

A friend who works in radio once told me that if Randi walked out the door at AAR, there would be a rep from ABC Radio on the sidewalk waiting to offer her a gig.

I hate the way she was kneecapped by another supposed 'liberal,' but if it lands her a gig where she can continue to speak her mind, then good on her.

4. Do you know what Peter B. said?
Bill Press said this morning that he thought the suspension was appropriate.

I frankly don't see how a radio personality who generates bad publicity for their station or network can expect not to get some consequences.

6. I think the suspension was appropriate, too.
It's radio. that's how it's done, and it happens every day in that industry. Out here on LI, a guy on a music station was suspended because he made fun of a trailer park in an LI community.

Radio stations have to have a recourse when things like this happen, and i have absolutely no problem with that.

Trying to oust her from her job is another matter, though. That's crossing the line, IMO. And the fact that the charge to get her fired is being led from a liberal blog is simply inexcusable.

7. I will point out that you would have never heard of this
once again, if a CIA retired agent had not released a tape from the event

I know people are having a problem making the connection, especially since that retired agent has OTHERS who are critical of the Clintons, on his hit list for character assassination.

I know folks are having a problem with this concept... but welcome to the New America

8. Well, the thing is, I'm not having trouble making the connection
I just don't buy it in this case. And I know people who work in radio who are not Johnson. My connection might be different than that of the general public, though.

I'm still trying to find out what Peter B. said.

9. I usually listen to Stephanie Miller 's show and it was STRANGE this morning.
Stephanie has been vocally supporting Obama, but has stated that she will support whomever the eventual Dem nominee is. She's made some jokes about Hillary although nothing that approached Randi's remarks.

This morning, she said she was at a Hillary fundraiser last night, and announced that Hillary would be calling into the show today. I didn't get a chance to listen to the entire show, so i don't know what happened. But I will say this: Stephanie seemed nervous.

Anyone else hear her show this morning?
