Laura Bush Slightly Misunderestimates Iraq Attacks
http://wonkette.com/politics/laura-bush/laura-bush-slightly-misunderestimates-iraq-attacks-240461.php

We missed Laura Bush on the Larry King show the other night, because there’s no way in hell we’re watching Larry King Live, ever. But our beloved Firstest Lady made some interesting remarks about her husband’s catastrophe over in Iraq:

“And many parts of Iraq are stable now. But, of course, what we see on television is the one bombing a day that discourages everybody.”

Actually, most days go by without any Iraq bombings on television, but we get the basic idea — it’s the same idea boldly expressed on Iraq Occupation fansites: The Main Stream Media is not telling us the Good News about Iraq!

The problem with Laura’s claim is that she’s totally full of shit. There are multiple bombings in Iraq every day. There are an average of 180 attacks on U.S. forces every single day, along with an average of 50 attacks on Iraqis and 30 attacks on those nine Iraqi Forces we’ve trained

9. I love it when some one will say what I am thinking.
I am sure both know the numbers better than we do on what is going up each day. They have no shame and will say anything. I for some reason can not stand Larry King. He looks like a was work for one thing.

6. Laura Bush is a self centered phony.
Laura Bush is a self centered phony.

She presents a fake persona for the public that the Corp Media promotes. She is, in reality, a mean spirited, selfish, arrogant, ignorant person just like her husband. She has promoted RWing causes such as Anti-Stem Cell Funding and has campaigned for RW Candidates. Claiming that she is a Private Citizen is as bogus as her phony public persona. She champions causes such as Women's Rights in Afghanistan and schools for Iraqis and Afghans but it is merely lip service because she does nothing about these causes nor does she contribute any of her own money towards them. . Laura Bush is a vapid, phony person and should be shunned yet she remains popular with the millions in America because the Corp Media goes along with her charade.

4. "Actually, most days go by without any Iraq bombings on television"
So if the bombings don't get reported on the TV, they don't exist? Is that right?

If a bomb goes off in city with no camera around, did it make a sound?

13. That was a quote of Laura, not the poster's comment
Laura is the one saying that if it doesn't appear on TV, it doesn't happen.

8. Here's a mild speculation,....
--- Laura won't be doing any interviews again any time soon. I'm guessing that Cheney will read Bush Jr the riot act for letting this occur.

7. I caught about 30 seconds of her interview
she was babbling about women and heart disease. All I could think was, if I have a heart attack or stroke before Jan 2009 - it will be her husband's fault.
