8. thanks for that link, though i'm not sure how widely agreed that is
for instance, just a basic point is that economists usually refer to the great depression as the great contraction and time it from 1929-1933. the period from '33-'37 was marked by HUGE annual growth, though not enough to get back to pre-contraction levels and make people feel we would "done" with it.


i guess there's no universal agreement as to occurrence and timing of recessions, so my question is not definitively answerable.
