My son is Home!!!!!!

My son returned from Afghanistan. From what he the longest 15 months of his life. He now has 20 years and 6 months in the Army. Hopes to retire soon. I worry about stop loss! Thank God he is home safe. Thank you all for your support of them!

but he isn't a soldier. He works in the Defense Department. I worry about him constantly, too, but at least he will only be there for 4 months, and unlike his cousin, he doesn't have to go out on patrol all the time, though he does have to go out there sometimes. My nephew is a medic, so of course he is always right there with them when his unit goes out.

When my brother returned from his fourth and final deployment, I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. I can't begin to imagine having a son over there...I do know that my mom slept deeper and longer for several days after he came home.
