11 men arrested on charges of soliciting sex from children

A software engineer, the owner of a miniature golf course and nine other men, many from Central Florida, traveled to Polk County to have sex with a child, deputies said.

Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff's Office arrested the 11 men on charges of soliciting sex from a child through the Internet during Operation Paladin -- a two-week online sex sting in which investigators, posing as a 14-year-old girl, used chat rooms and instant messaging programs to lure the men to a location in Polk County.

The men were arrested between April 3 and April 6. Sheriff's records show that more than half of them bonded out, but others are still behind bars with bail amounts of up to $180,000.

The arrest reports show that suspects from Orlando, Apopka, Kissimmee and other cities in Central Florida brought alcoholic beverages, marijuana and condoms. One man arrived with a box cutter hidden in his sock for "protection in case it was a 'set up'."

6. I've come to the conclusion...

...that these stings bring out the pedophiles with IQs below 100.

It's the intelligent pedophiles that society needs to be worrying about, but most of them
are molesting their own relatives (children, grandchildren and stepchildren0--as they pose as
decent, normal members of society--holding down jobs, running for office and coaching soccer teams.

Since child sexual abuse is a hidden epidemic in this country (statistics repeatedly demonstrate
that 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 7 boys, is sexually abused before the age of 18)--you have to wonder what
the millions of active molesters think when they watch these Dateline shows?

The guys who are caught on these shows are slaw-jawed morons.

I sometimes wonder if the majority of middle- and upper-class molesters rationalize that they
incest they perpetrate with their own child relatives--because they see themselves (and their
situations) as completely different from the moron molesters that are caught in these stings
and on Dateline.
