Network Solutions outage (or hack?)
I have my business domain's email hosted at Network Solutions and I'm wondering if anyone has any news about what's going on over there? This morning when I could still get into and send email, my recipients' ISP's were rejecting it. We contacted one and they said they were blocking all email from Network Solutions' servers because of a lot of spam they were getting. Then I couldn't log into my email at all.

Their phone line was busy for over an hour this morning and finally, all you get now is a recording that they "know about the problem and are working to fix it".

Affixing my tinfoil hat and wondering if someone got pissed off at them for yanking that Dutch website about the anti-Islamic film.

???

Need to find another email host, but can't even move anything until the Network Solutions thing gets sorted out apparently.

Anyone know anything more than this?

3. Maybe the return of the DDoS attack.
You know, Distributed Denial of Service. A bunch of civilian computers get a particular virus that doesn't do anything to the system, except...at a certain time, the virus makes all of them call a particular system to overload and crash it.

Network Solutions...aren't those the people that make those crappy Norton anti-virus programs? The ones that are resource hogs and slow down systems something awful?

4. I thought it was Symantec that did Norton Anti-Virus
Isn't Network Solutions the keeper of the domain names (or something along those lines?)

5. Well, I knew they were evil somehow...
...but I recall some software utilities branded "Network Solutions" from somewhere.
