...with the Perfumed Prince of Baghdad? I can save the Senate the trouble if they read the following:

1. We withdraw, Iraq violently explodes and becomes a de facto state of Iran.
2. We stay at current numbers, Iraq remains unstable and the Iraqi government smiles as our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines bear the burden of their country's "defense."
3. We reduce the current numbers, more civilian and military deaths.
4. We increase the current numbers, the whole fiasco cycles again.

So again, why is the Senate holding these hearings? Well here's one theory: to give our presumptive future President (any one of the three) a chance to bloviate.
