Youths banned from buying ketchup (and eggs)

Youths banned from buying ketchup
Police notice
Police asked supermarkets to challenge youths buying ketchup

Supermarkets have banned sales of eggs and tomato ketchup to young people in a bid to cut anti-social behaviour.

About a dozen residents in the Charles Close area of Caister-on-Sea, near Great Yarmouth, have reported tomato sauce being squirted at cars and homes.

Norfolk Police asked supermarkets in the town to challenge youths trying to buy sauces in squirty bottles or eggs.

Sgt Andy Brown said no more complaints had been received in the past two weeks since the agreement came into force.

These people are lucky they only have to worry about ketchup and eggs. What the heck are they going to put on fish and chips if they ban ketchup from the kids? :)

4. Ketchup: The Gateway Condiment
They start out with the little packets handed out for free by the McDonald's pushers. Pretty soon, it's not enough, and they have to get the big bottle from the grocery store. Next thing you know, they're buying 1 gallon jars from Sam's Club.

12. This is the new Bush* America where all are considered guilty before the fact
Kids are considered guilty of an illegal act just because they possess a legal substance but some have used it illegally. Goes right along with Pre-emptive war. It is not the America I grew up in and that is a sad fact..

17. Since the law seems to be working...

... I would have to say it is Norfolk 'n good!

:)

How often does one get to work Norfolk into a thread? It helps if you read that out loud keeping in mind that the good people of Norfolk pronounce that "ol" as a "u".

19. Ketchup? My car was mustered and bananaed. Guess what? It washes off. Not as
easily as ketchup does, but it does wash off.

Should I have reported it to the police and had kids refused mustard and bananas too?
