So Cindi McCain is getting a pass for the thinning hair comment in public?
I've seen threads with outrage about him calling her things in public, in response to that. But I haven't seen anyone talking about her saying what she said to him in front of others.

So I guess if he had told her her thighs were getting fat in public he'd get a pass on that?

2. Just saying if he had told her her ass looked fat, no one would have any outrage here.

not justifying either. Just he would have come off better here if he'd told her her ass was fat. Then no one would have said anything about what he said.

as calling someone a c**t in public.

13. Geez -- men are always so BITCHY when women make public comments about their looks!
Yet they have no problems calling women fat, or ugly, *on the rag* the *c* word, etc. It's just not FAIR when an obvious baldspot is pointed out, now is it? :sarcasm:

Perhaps McNasty should have a case of MIDOL sent to his campaign offices -- addressed to HIM personally? :sarcasm:

21. My husband and I have
a running joke between us re hair plugs which he pretends he is going to get. He teases me about my clumsiness. I can't believe that something like that would set a person off unless he had a very poor self image. Nevertheless, the reaction he had was way over the top.

If it had been a Democrat making those comments, we would be talking about it for days or even weeks.

24. She was teasing him. She should not have risked it.
I would not say something like that in public to my husband. But then, I love and respect my husband. There is something wrong with their relationship. It is a sham.

A friend of mine whose parents were very wealthy and who had grown up in one of the wealthiest enclaves in the U.S. once told me that I, as a poor mid-western girl, would be surprised at how lonely marriages in the huge houses of the wealthy could be. I've often wondered what she met. If you live in a small house on a limited income, you either have to get along or separate. You can't afford to ignore your spouse. But, people like the McCains can live in the same house without really having much contact. Unthinkable for most of us. The McCains may just tolerate each other. She smiles for the camera, and I'm sure we will soon be seeing some cuddling photos and hear about some wonderfully romantic moments -- just to counteract this horrible story. But, when I see Cindy McCain, I see a very, very unhappy woman. And although my own marriage is very long and very wonderful, I know a lot about bad ones.
