Bush to deliver commencement address at Greensburg High School

The Associated Press
WASHINGTON | President Bush will give the commencement address at Greensburg High School next month.

The president will deliver his remarks on May 4 at the school's practice facility in the tornado-damaged town.

Greensburg Public Schools Superintendent Darin Headrick says the event has been in planning stages for more than a month.

Headrick says students are honored to have the president. There are 18 graduating students, but he expects about 800 people to watch the ceremony.

Headrick says the commencement was moved from its original date of May 10 to fit the president's schedule. That is the same day Bush's daughter Jenna is getting married.

Security will be tight and attendees will have to have tickets.

1. Last year, cnn was filled with people
from there, talking about the power of prayer.
I guess that worked pretty well, huh?

In fact, I was getting pretty disgusted about the emphasis on religion, god, prayer and the tornadoes. Watch for similar treatmeht now?

Any natural disaster is regrettable but they are NATURAL DISASTERS, not something that can be changed by getting on ones knees and reciting fairy-tale-based words to some make believe idol.

3. A group of kids I know went down there to help the Mennonites
do recovery work.

Cops turned them away at the city limits.

Wrong church I guess.

6. I always wonder why
when a natural disaster like Katrina hits New Orleans that fundies see it as God's judgement on a city of heathers but when a tornado flattens a town in Kansas it's a terrible tragedy.
