The Senate has been doing a lot of votes on amendments today

The Senate has been doing a lot of votes on amendments today
I'm not sure what they are voting on, haven't been able to listen that closely. But whenever a repuke puts up an amendment, they are adding John McSame as a co-sponsor. They are trying to make it look like he is coming up with all sorts of legislation, most of which I'm sure he has nothing to do with.

5. Co-sponsoring legislation is merely signing your name onto it.
It's basically pre-emptively voting in favor of the bill. Very, very rarely, an original co-sponsor will have had some hand in drafting the bill, but typically, it's all the sponsor's work. Most Members of Congress co-sponsor hundreds of bills, while sponsoring only a few (committee chairs excepted).
