9. $3.87 in Marin. I sure am glad that I don't drive.
Went on a road trip last week and I volunteered to buy the gas.

I hadn't filled up a car with fuel in a year or so.

Almost passed out.

Thought about the wine I could have bought with all that money.

50. I'm still considering buying a diesel..
I think it's an interesting coincidence that diesel prices started going higher than gas prices once the auto makers decided to roll out more diesel engines in N. America.

56. We have 2 of them, both VW TDI's
and they are great cars for us. One gets about 52 mpg on the highway, the other about 44. Although modern diesel fuel is supposedly some kind of special low-sulfur formula, it's still much cruder stuff than gasoline and therefore should not cost more - nor did it, until about 2 years ago. I expect winter raises when heating oil is in demand (and road fuel has to be reformulated in some parts of the country), but now it has hit almost $4.30 a gallon in warmer weather, and some kind of bullshit is afoot, in my opinion.

I use premium. I can't look at the regular price then I get a little pissed. Obama would say I was bitter, but, no, just pissed that gas is too expensive. May start walking now that the weather is
