It's sickening to me that we go bonkers when the wingnuts say shit about our side and we demand action. Nova M currently does not have any open weekday slots unless they bump someone else. I suspect that the best hope for hearing Sam weekdays right now is still AAR.

4. Clear Channel AKA Satan

took AA off here in San Diego. The station was doing well for a 5,000 watt signal but since the primaries were about to happen, a mysterious decision was made from the HQ in TX - they yanked our wonderful affiliate KLSD. Now we have no voice at all except Stacy Taylor has a 3 hour show from 3 to 6 on an otherwise right-wing station - Dennis Miller, the fascist pig that he is, comes on right before Stacy... It is really odd.

They always find a way to lose their best talent. I say this in the context of Seder being bumped to Sundays and the recent loss of K Jones from Maddow's show, Rhodes quitting and of course The Young Turks.

13. Randi Rhodes being at Nova M is going to be a big boost for the network

As much as I love Mike Malloy, the fact is that night time talk radio isn't a huge market, so only us political diehards really knew the name "Nova M" up until now. But Randi is one of the top rated broadcasters in a mid-day time slot. That's a huge difference, and it will pay off big time for them. They might be able to liberate Sam before you know it. But if he took Randi's old AAR slot, he'd be locked into a contract with those DLC twits, and probably wouldn't be happy about it, in the long run. Sam is very good at saying things in a "read between the lines" manner which probably keeps him out of hot water, but if he's not censoring himself during the commercials on the SammyCam, then it's gonna get back to Green Brothers Inc.

Better that he just be rid of them, in my humble opinion.

Wherever Sam ends up working, he needs to show that he has a lot of support. That gives him leverage in negotiating a good contract with whichever network he joins. So, please reconsider contacting AAR to encourage them to hire him on weekdays. It will make Sam look good ....

These assholes who run AAR don't care about what we think. If they did, the 30,000 signatures on the petition to rehire Mike Malloy (in 2006) would have meant something. And they would have honored Randi's contract, as it was, after the show of support for her.
