then would people complain that they are out of touch with the general public on the grounds that the vast majority of Americans haven't worked as farmers?

we wouldn't be in this situation to begin with. There are too many parasites in high places who have never done a useful lick of work in their lives, in the public and the private secotrs.

middle class and working class people wouldn't have these problems such as foreclosure, jobs being shipped overseas.

In short, corporatism would not run rampant.

That certainly would not have a thing at all to do with them being intouch or out of touch (whatever in hell that is supposed to mean) with - and here's another one - the "general public".
