Bumperstickers I saw today.
In a crowded parking lot, my eyes fell first on the back of a car with an old Kerry/Edwards sticker. Below that on the same side was a , "Try Jesus". It reminded me of a very hopeful October day in 2004 where I saw a big "Christians for Kerry" flag banner on an antenna of a car. I began to wonder if it was a family car with members showing off different beliefs or was it just a Dem with christian affiliations. I'm just so used to seeing Bush/Cheney with Jesus!

1. Starting to see a lot of Obama stickers here.
Pretty good for a very right-red town with an army base in Arizona. No Hillary or McBush yet. (Hopeful)

5. Jesus is a liberal! He would be a Democrat no doubt.
There is no way in hell he would support anything that the Republican party has done in his name. In fact I am quite certain he would be really angry that they have stolen his teachings and pretend to follow him. But then, he spoke of the same hypocrites back in the day, the ones who prayed in public...

10. I saw one that said "Thank God for Bush" yesterday, with a big cross motif.
Edited on Sat Apr-12-08 10:38 PM by Marr
The car was covered in Christian fundamentalist bumper stickers and slogans. They had about 30 subtly different pro-violence slogans on there, advocating everything from dropping nuclear bombs in the Middle East to torture to imperialism.

15. The only real Christians
are Dems, IMHO. The ones here that throw stones at those who are religious aren't being democratic. They can have their opins. They just shouldn't throw stones at others.

18. firstly, totally opposed to being religious, not even, kinda sorta, ... though i am fine
Edited on Sun Apr-13-08 05:12 PM by seabeyond
with those that want to be. to me it is as much or more to be social and i am anti social and non rule following so religion doesn't do it for me

secondly, ... others that are fuckin up in religion are just as christian, just misguided and i put the blame and responsibility squarely on their ministers (leaders) shoulders cause the people are following, per religion and great responsibility to leaders. the leaders are whom are failing. shame on them. but still, a misguided christian is a christian

last...

hm. ... what was it

oh. those throwing stones at christians as a whole cause of the few with really really big mouths, certainly not the majority? well, should/shouldn't throw stones matters not to me. i understand. i understand the anger and why they are spouting off. i can accept that. BUT.... i will speak up. i go after my fellow chrsitains harsher, louder and more strongly than those throwing stones. wink. i just do it in love, you know, .... the christian way.

anyway, thanks for your post, allowing me the opportunity to express.
