Maybe its just me.

Maybe not.

The next president, no matter which of the three still in the race, will sweep under the rug all the crimes of the Bush administration. They will whistle past the graveyard. They will ignore.

Bush will get away with everything.

He will be able to claim the most criminal-free administration in history.

Because the next president will cover for him. The day they are elected, they are members of the club.

You, on the other hand, don't fucking matter.

1. Please oh please
tell me you haven't had your coffee yet this morning:P All joking aside, I am afraid you are right, as you often are. None of the bastards that have helped to run this country into the ground, will be held accountable. However, one can hope the International community will get them sooner rather than later.

3. Then we look to the International Community.
These War Criminals should not sleep one night in comfort. If they have to be dragged in on their 80th or 90th birthday--they must be held accountable.

7. Ford covered for Nixon with his pardon and Clinton never held Papa Bush accountable for his
crimes, and I don't expect anything different from the new President.

I look to the Hague, but that will probably never happen either....

8. I have difficulty seeing any of the three candidates doing anything
to hold the Bush people to account. I do hope that new leadership can steer us onto a very different path. These are times much worse overall than 1929, the last time a combination of factors forced a dramatic leftward shift in our direction. We have simultaneous and interconnected problems with energy, the environment, the economy, our infrastructure, our place in the world, the war, etc. and, as much as I would like to see Bushco go to the Hague, I don't want us to be all distracted about court-martialling the last captain while the ship stays on course into the icebergs.

15. I'm sorry but I can't agree with you and turn a blind eye to move forward. Why can't both be done at
the same time? Are we that incapable?

As long as all these crimes committed are allowed to go unpunished, it will continue and in turn continue to permeate, with its insidious energy, every part of our culture and personal lives.

10. Dang, I really wanted to hear shrub claim well we had an election
That was the accountability moment.

AFAIK, there was only one candidate who seriously would have prosecuted the crimes.

12. Someone has to make a tough decision on how we are going to pay for the Iraq War.
Of course it won't be popular, but it needs to be done! Every time a republican gets in office, they screw up everything. Then when people have enough, they elect a grown-up and put a democrat in office because they are the only ones with balls to do what's necessary to clean up the republican mess. Then the republicans sit on their big fat pimply hemorrhoid asses and point their bony shit faced fingers at the totally innocent Democrats.

17. I think you are right on this one.
I thought so when the other candidates were told to get the hell out of the race. I also think the election was decided a long time ago. We have no proof the elections are legit any more.
