If no one is above the law - (pic heavy though sadly lacking mugshots)
Edited on Mon Apr-14-08 10:14 AM by Solly Mack
and we hear about it all the time - how no one is above the law. Too often spouted in hopes of getting a cheer without any actual effort in proving it.

Why are they still free? (and some still in public office)

Bush

The Principals Committee aka the Torture Squad and Team Torture

Cheney

Rumsfeld

Rice

Ashcroft

Powell

Tenet

Card

Myers

From the Memos

Gonzales

Haynes

Yoo

Bybee

and let us not forget the man who took the Rumsfeld approved tactics from GTMO to Abu Ghraib

Miller

and not just them

1. You haven't been paying attention, they are above the law.
SIgning statements, executive orders and a disturbingly twisted interpretation of the Constitution say so.

4. Oh you've just got such a post Magna Carta mentality.
Kidding

I know. Their seemingly presumed impunity and arrogance is so unbelievably frustrating.

May the truth come out in the end and real justice be served over time.

5. wonderful round up
Sounds like a wonderful campaign commercial, too.

I'm with you, let's make them explain and never forget what the "smart" "grown-ups" did as they ran our country "like a business" with the "smartest people in the room".

8. There was a story in the NYT yesterday that Gonzales can't get a job
No respectable law firm will have him. He's been turned down repeatedly. It's not much, but it's something.

12. I've been amazed by that over the last several years
All the we didn't know Bush would go that far...in all its forms.

I'm more than a little tired of hearing how "no one is above the law" when all evidence suggest otherwise

I don't own pom-poms. Iffen you know what I mean...

14. How ironic Asscroft turned out to be the only one with
even a HINT of conscience about him (albeit a very WEAK hint).

He still can't sing for shit, tho'...
