**WANTED EDITORS for the DU Election Reform Forum Daily News Thread **

Melissa G and I are looking for a few good DUers to edit the DU Election Reform Forum compile its Daily News Thread.



(If you've never read one, they look roughly like this although editors are free to chose the format that works for them: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=203x500479)

There are openings for editors on Tuesday and Thursday, and soon, on Wednesday.

The thread only takes about 30 minutes to put up, sometimes a little more depending on the day's news flow. It's very straight forward, there is a list of sources that are easy to search, and our former editors are great coaches should you have any questions.

***We could also use Assistant Editors to help out and as back up on just about any day. ***

Working as an ERD editor is a great way to get up to speed on election reform issues. It's also a great way to get :loveya: from the Election Reform Forum for helping to build the archive and to track election news trends!

If you're not too busy and have the time, we'd love to have you aboard.

This is just a seasonal commitment. We try to check in with folks whenever the mods change. That seems to be about once a season. We cover for each other when life comes up. We used to even have folks volunteer just to do back up or be assistant editors.

You can find a new friend and share a shift. Come up with new ways we have yet to think of to get the News out about Election Reform, Fraud and Related Issues. ER is the reason I came to DU after the 2004 election and it is the reason I have stayed. You meet some amazing folks working this issue. Come join us!:hi:

Seriously, it matters so much more than most of the US citizens understand yet. And you may end up with R converts, thanks to the info you gather.

My mother, an R for 54 years, switched to D this election. She was embarrassed and ashamed to be an R any longer.

And after reading it, I'm reasonably up to speed in the same way you can get up to speed by reading LBN. Mark Crispin Miller and others read and post there. It's a good deal. :)

44. You can still become part of our team by just making a habit of recommending

the daily ER news thread when you browse ER. If you feel inspired, post something once in a while, or just say Thank you to the Daily editor. Our beloved Kurovski has yet to serve as a daily editor but he is one of the most reliable Rec and Thank You folks we have! Plus he's funny! :rofl:
