The Pope & GWB remind me of the Underdog villains!



Seriously -- I went to Catholic church for most of my life and this whole spectacle sure does make me glad I left it!

1. If you do not like the Catholic or

by extension any christian church then by all means you are entitled to your view point/life style.

However consider that study after poll finds that a large majority of the population takes their religion seriously to some degree (I am living proof that one can attend Baptist services more than once a week and still be a progressive in outlook).

To the degree we go our of our way to trash the Pope while he is visiting the nation, to that degree we validate the stereo type that as a party we are elitist.

Think about it.

2. I really do not like my old church, or this current Pope, or GWB

And saying so has no negative effect as far as I'm concerned!

I have like, LESS than zero respect for GWB, less than zero.

Besides it was driving me nuts thinking of who that guy reminded me of! Simon Bar Sinister!

3. Oswald Cobblepot.

The Pope reminds me of Batman's Nemesis, Oswald Cobblepot.


Rudy Giuliani reminds me of Simon Bar Sinister.

I agree with you about everything else though!

4. You know...you have something there!

The purpose of his visit is to really excite the US Catholics because too many of them are....well, like me!

Good luck with that.

Honestly I do owe GWB that one thing -- the last election and his vitory with the "religious values voters" and Kerry's "problems with Catholics" and all of it made me do some thinking about my Church and the more I thought about it the less I liked it.
