Senate Approves Castration Bill
"(Baton Rouge) -- The Senate has passed a bill that would force some sex offenders to undergo so-called "chemical castration." Under the measure by Senator Nick Gautreaux of Abbeville, offenders could opt to be physically castrated rather than receive injections that chemically suppress a man's sex drive by reducing levels of testosterone.
The bill would give judges the option of ordering injections for first-time sex offenders.
The injections would be mandatory for a second offense.
The bill now moves to the House for debate"

1. That is seriously medieval, barbaric, and scary
Can't wait for when they do it to someone later found to be innocent.

2. Castration doesn't solve anything.
It makes them less aggressive since they don't produce testosterone but they can still rape with their fingers or other things.

The only way to keep them from molesting is to lock them up and keep them away from everybody else.

4. You have to castrate a person during childhood for good results.
There is little effect if any if it is done after he becomes an adult. The bottom line is that it is a stupid idea.
