8. God. So not previously undiscovered Saddam graves. Wow.
Are they positing who might be behind this?

12. Don't know who is behind it but I know who according to international law is responsible
The occupying country.

We can't take credit for the schools we painted and not for the mass graves that were created under our noses.

4. Think about the climate, the infrastructure and Islamic law
covering funerals. There are no refrigerated morgues and Islamic law states bodies have to be buried before sundown the following day, at the latest.

Bodies are photographed and samples taken for later DNA testing, should facilities ever become available again. Everybody who was killed in the bombing that day will be buried together the following day, usually before families discover they're missing, suspect they've been killed, and go looking for wherever bodies were taken.

Mass graves are simply what happens in wartime, in plagues, and in famines.

These are not the first and they certainly won't be the last.

19. All sides, I'm afraid
but how do they know they're made by electric drill? A puncture wound looks pretty much the same whether it's made by a small calibre bullet or a drill bit.

Now if they said the TEETH were drilled, I'd think torture.

5. The problem with these discoveries is...
...some of them may have occurred during Saddam's time. And others may have been as a result of air strikes. Without autopsies, real investigations and real reporting, we will never know the truth.

Just the sensationalism of "mass graves" found in the Middle East.

How long will it be before someone on FOX blames it on Iran?

10. No, the problem is we have been in this country for going on 6 years and have looked for mass graves
These are new mass graves that we are finding according to the reports I linked.

We have already found Saddams mass graves. Here is a link to that:

PM admits graves claim 'untrue'

Sunday July 18 2004

Downing Street has admitted to The Observer that repeated claims by Tony Blair that '400,000 bodies had been found in Iraqi mass graves' is untrue, and only about 5,000 corpses have so far been uncovered.

The claims by Blair in November and December of last year, were given widespread credence, quoted by MPs and widely published, including in the introduction to a US government pamphlet on Iraq's mass graves.

In that publication - Iraq's Legacy of Terror: Mass Graves produced by USAID, the US government aid distribution agency, Blair is quoted from 20 November last year: 'We've already discovered, just so far, the remains of 400,000 people in mass graves.'

On 14 December Blair repeated the claim in a statement issued by Downing Street in response to the arrest of Saddam Hussein and posted on the Labour party website that: 'The remains of 400,000 human beings {have} already {been} found in mass graves.'

The admission that the figure has been hugely inflated follows a week in which Blair accepted responsibility for charges in the Butler report over the way in which Downing Street pushed intelligence reports 'to the outer limits' in the case for the threat posed by Iraq.

13. You're assuming...
...we found all of them. And that they are not being re-reported on.

You are also assuming that whatever reporting coming out the Middle East can be believed.

Without question.

The graves that are being found might contain the victims of air strikes. However, without autopsies, real investigations and real reporting, we will not know what is actually happening.

Don't forget, we still don't know everything that happened in Abu Ghraib.

16. I am not assuming nothing
If you clicked on the links you would see they are finding these graves in places that had been looked at before and there was nothing there. We looked at everything before when Blair was trying to account for all the bodies he lied about. They weren't there before.

The US military even states some of the graves are only 8 months old.

18. Fair Enough...
...but without autopsies, real investigations and real reporting, we will never really know how these people died.

I do not trust that the GOP won't just go off and say it was Iran that did this.

17. We already knew that!
What I'm wondering is: how will these discoveries be spun by the GOP-controlled media?

Bodies in a mass grave didn't just happen. It's not like when Jesus buried dinosaur bones to trick evolutionists.

How the people died must be discovered and truthfully reported and not spun to benefit the GOP plan to invade/attack Iran.

6. Very little honest reporting is taking place in Iraq for the good reporters end up dead, kidnapped
or in jail.

Basically the same as honest reporting out of Gaza.
