GAO: United States Lacks Comprehensive Plan to Destroy Terrorist Threat (In Pakistan)
A report released today from the GAO is entitled:

The United States Lacks a Comprehensive Plan to Destroy the Terrorist Threat and Close the Safe Haven in Pakistan's Federally Administered Tribal Areas.

http://www.hcfa.house.gov/110/GAO041708.pdf

Maybe you should read it. Maybe you should take a copy of it to every flag-pin-wearing member of Congress and the present administration and beat them on the head with it.

Trillions of dollars in Iraq, and Al Qaeda has reestablished its safe haven AND BUSH HAS NO PLAN TO TAKE THEM OUT.

If you don't mind, I'd prefer that with every stroke, you shout "IMPEACHMENT!" until said Congressperson or Administration stooge shows signs of understanding what you're talking about.

1. I wonder if they'll ignore the obvious title like they did the report in Aug 01

Edit to add - from Biden's press release on it

"
“As the GAO report correctly notes, a comprehensive strategy to combat the terrorist threat in this area was called for by the 9/11 Commission, and legally mandated by Congress, but ‘No comprehensive plan for meeting U.S. national security goals in the FATA has been developed.’ In comments to the GAO report, the Department of Defense and USAID agreed that a comprehensive had yet to be developed—while the Department of State implausibly argued that such a plan was already in existence.

2. Yeah.
The State Department's plan is "Let Pakistan deal with it."

Of course, the GAO report points out that Al Qaeda is in a prime place to completely undermine the state of Pakistan.
